I'd just like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. 2005 has been quite busy for us, and we hope that 2006 will be even busier, what with the new album coming out in the summer. Bring it on!
Oh, and by the way, big thanks to all of you who helped get 'I love my Jean' to number 7 in the festive 50. Brilliant! I am totally chuffed about that.
Hope to see some of you in Edinburgh on the 13th and in Glasgow on the 21st.

An open invitation....

If you'd like to visit Glasgow, but want to avoid the usual boring hotels, you can stay at my house for three days. All I ask is that you commit one day to assisting with some light restorative work.

This spectacular offer is open to anyone with experience of/interest in this sort of thing; there's a lot of woodwork and flooring to sand, some painting and wallpapering, stripping, plastering, possible glazing, chimney sweeping and lining, varnishing, furniture restoration, curtain-making, draught-proofing, taking rubble to the dump, going to B&Q for materials, coming back with a bag of chips etc.

Nah, forget it. I was just thinking out loud. I've been working all night. I'll go to bed and dream up a plan B.

By the way, thanks to all of you who came to see us in London and Glasgow recently. It was nice to start over again, and to see faces old and new. Come back and see us again sometime.
